Mark finally saw the orthopedist the other day. Diagnosis is severe tendinitis. Unbelievable that inflammation never crossed Mark's mind (not an NP yet). Unbelievable that he never took any type of anti-inflammatory in the past month because last night two Ibuprofen had him feeling invincible. Can't wait to see what a week of steroids will do. Scoot over A-Rod...
A week of a Medrol dose pack coupled with continued stretching while easing back into training over a month or so should have him back in the saddle again. If not it's a more intense workup.
